"We'll leave the Light of Christ on for ya"

When someone passes away, even if you are good friends with them and their family, words can be hard to find when you want to express the sympathy and sadness you feel. The Tallula Christian Church recently said goodbye to one of our most beloved members, Virginia LeMar. Virginia and her late husband, Bill, were members of the church for many decades, devoting their lives to Christ and working diligently for Him through the church, and made an impact on each and every person they met while doing so.
Virginia’s great-grandson, Pastor Adam Hamerlinck, did an outstanding job officiating her service; it will be a great blessing to the family in the future. Teresa, Todd, and a note from Trent best described Virginia’s life while here on earth. The music was outstanding as well, with Eleanor Bergman and Brad Davis performing. There’s a time for sharing, a time for caring, and a time for parting. Our prayers are with Virginia’s family. We will always remember Bill and Virginia as family and for their great influence on our church.
An update on the kitchen remodel- the countertops have been installed and the kitchen is almost finished. A big thanks to Lynn and all who have volunteered in helping us complete this project.
Come join us for worship Sunday mornings at 10:30. Big churches are nice and may offer more in entertainment, but small churches like ours need you. God Bless!
