GOOD NEWS FROM THE TALLULA CHRISTIAN CHURCH 1-14-2019
Here at Tallula Christian Church we celebrated the birth of the Lord Jesus with a Christmas Eve service at 11 pm on Christmas Eve. Gretchen Barron did an outstanding job of delivering the message of our Lord and Savior. During the service we received communion in Remembrance of Jesus Christ. At the end of the service we formed a candlelight circle around the sanctuary and sang “Silent Night” together. As I looked around the circle of brothers and sisters that believe in Jesus, I knew we were definitely in God’s Church and in God’s Grace.
We at Tallula Christian Church have what is called an “open communion”. We only ask that you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior to partake in holy communion which is offered each week. Dave Poeschel said wouldn’t it be great if people lined up to get into church the way they line up to get into a store on Black Friday! Amen, Dave! Amen!
On the 1st Sunday of each month, our ladies Fellowship group meets at 2 pm. Please bring your needlework, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, etc. with you for this time of fellowship and creativity. Many thanks to Cindy Eicher and Mia Waters for leading this group. All the ladies of the community are invited to join them!
Meanwhile, all are welcome at Tallula Christian Church. Sunday worship services start a little after 10:30 am every Sunday morning. Sunday school for both children and adults continues to meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 for fellowship. Come and visit us! We are easy to find just three short blocks north of downtown Tallula at 311 North Yates. As we always say, “We’ll leave the light on for you, the light of Christ.”
God bless and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
